Alpha 2.0

So by the end of tonight I will have my second alpha version of my game up and will be receiving feedback.

Experience goals are going to be relatively the same as last time.

I have more levels and refined some background art. And I am so excited cuz after doing a couple more levels, (also a lot of bugs got fixed like clickable animations!) and I am so excited to start adding more subtle and unsettling audio cues and what not.

Art;

I want atmosphere in it which I know will require more audio but what else do you the player think is missing?

The beginning art should be very sophisticated and clean but moving forward I want to demonstrate a darker side and wrip you out of any comfort you may have felt.

Design;

As of now it is setting the scene and I hope the player does immediately understand the type of world they are in but are left with questions to explore in the rest of the game.

I want the game going forward to feel like a heaviness of responsibility with your choices as if you are the one trying to keep the character and his friends alive as you learn aboutthis fantastical world.

This has progressed so much since I've last seen it! I especially enjoy the animated cut scene you had. I am a bit confused by all the story in the beginning. I feel like there is a way that could be condensed, because I feel like right when starting the game I have a lot to take in and memorize. But I also really like how many options there are for the dialogue.

For the art, I think some of it needs tightened up. The backgrounds appear rather low resolution and I think they need some more polish to match the character's detail.

For the design, as I stated earlier I find the world just a bit confusing, because there is a lot I'm being told at once. Perhaps we can find out that their parent's have died later in the game.
